VMAXTANKS 6 Volt 225Ah AGM Battery is one of the best buy deep cycle AGM batteries, suitable for use as solar or wind turbine battery, RV battery, golf cart battery, electric trolling battery etc. It features long Float Service Life (up to 8 to 10 years), but thanks to heavy duty lead tin alloy, it is very durable battery with long service life in either float or cyclic applications, even after repeated over discharges - which should be nonetheless avoided as much as possible, of course.

The closes BCI group is GC2, although one should check first if these batteries can fit in the desired space.
Recommended charging current is between 15 and 55 Amps, while recommended charging voltage is 7.2-7.35 volts. In float applications, float voltage should be kept between 6.6 V and 6.9 V.
These batteries should be charged using:
- any quality smart microprocessor controlled AGM charger with the recommended specifications, like VMAXTANKS BC1215 and/or BC1220 (for 12V banks).
- solar panels and wind turbines in the 175W-450W range, although 120W panels and turbines may be used if depth of discharge is not below 50%.
Note: never use a battery charger with smaller amperage than the recommended. Also, battery maintainers should only be used to maintain a fully charged battery or battery pack but never as a battery charger. Charging the batteries with lower currents can shorten their operating life. Since good lead acid battery charger costs perhaps the half the price of one of these batteries, it is very smart investment.
Storage and discharge temperature range is between -4 and 140°F (-20 and 60°C) and charge temperature range is between 14 and 140°F (-10 and 60°C).
VMAXTANKS V6-225 Battery Packs
VMAXTANKS V6-225 can be connected in series and parallel to create battery packs of various voltages and capacities.
In golf cart and RV applications, 6 or 8 batteries can be connected in series to provide 36 or 48 V battery packs. Such 225 Ah battery pack can provide long operating range for golf carts on a single battery charge. In RV applications with 36 or 48V electrical systems, 225Ah house battery pack can power various appliances while being off the grid.

Such new, fully charged battery pack can supply 270W for 20 hours continuously.

As one can see, VMAXTANKS MR197-200 is heavier unit, but again it is 12V battery, while VMAXTANKS V6-225 battery is 6V units.
When two VMAXTANKS V6-225 batteries are connected in series, they create 12V 225Ah battery pack, which is:
- heavier than single MR197-200 battery (144 pounds vs 112 pounds),
- has larger 20Ah capacity (225 Ah vs 200 Ah),
- has shorter RC rating (500 vs 560 minutes).
So, for applications where more power is required (~15 Amps or more), go for VMAXTANKS MR197-200 batteries and for applications where lower discharge currents are required (~15 Amps or less) for longer period of time, go for VMAXTANKS V6-225 batteries.
Obviously, if you are replacing GC2 batteries in your, for example RV vehicle, you have to go for the batteries that fits into the battery compartment.
