The Sheet Bend Knot is used for joining two ropes of equal or unequal size. It is also known as becket bend, weaver's knot or as weaver's hitch.
How to tie Sheet Bend
Take two lengths of rope (of equal or unequal thickness), make a half loop (blue rope) and then pass the thinner rope (white) through the loop and behind and below the (blue) shorter end. Then, pass the thinner (white) rope under itself (above the blue) and pull both ropes to finish the knot.
Note: for maximum strength and security, rope ends should end up on the same side.
