Fried Hake Fillets - Pan Fried Hake

Fried hake fillets is very simple pan fried hake recipe. Just take hake fillets, add some spices, fry them and meal is ready. As a side dish, you can have potato salad or mixed vegetables with some whole grain bread...

Frozen hake fillets are available year long and can be found in any supermarket. Defrost them slowly in salted water and put them in strainer to remove any excess water. Using paper towels, dry them even further.

Put fillets on aluminum foil and add spices like salt, pepper and some olive oil. If you like, you can also add other spices, but not too much - you don't want to 'kill' taste of fish with too much spices ...

Preheat non-stick frying pan, but use medium heat only (such pans don't like too much heat!). Put hake fillets and fry on each side 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown - accurate time depends on applied heat and fillet thickness.

Glass of good wine is also recommended :o)
